Speed Vs Slow – What’s The Best Way To Send A Courier Package

Being a client that requires logistics services, you need to calculate a lot of things in your ROI metric. You need to include cost, time of delivery, customer satisfaction and speed of transportation. Often a question arises, whether one should opt for speedy and expensive courier transportation or slower and cheaper ones.

While being speedy is on the priority list for many clients, it may not work out in the case of every product or industry. That’s why you need to be smart before hiring your next courier partner.

Product margin and cost of transportation

One of the most important factor when it comes to expediency and delivery rates is product margin. If you’re trying to expand your existing range of courier companies, then doing so for a high margin product makes sense. This is because the incremental cost of faster courier can have a radical improvement in customer satisfaction and loyalty. You can create brand differentiation on the basis of this factor.

The efficiency of delivery and logistics

Probably the most complex factor in logistics is efficiency. That’ why you need a partner than can deliver across large distances efficiently. You don’t want to partner with someone who can delivery fast but doesn’t deliver at a high efficiency. That’s why TCI Express is there for you. They’re the fastest courier service in India and have won multiple awards for their quick delivery systems.

Scale of operations

Depending on your scale of operations and the scale at which your courier partner is delivering, you can design a great logistics program. You can create a better setup for your company’s processes by going the speedway, and develop incremental scale through increased customer loyalty and repeat business.

How Fast Is The Warehouse Industry Growing?

There was a time when warehouse industry was considered only a crucial part of manufacturing sector but due to the advent of E-commerce, it has heavily affected the courier and delivery services as well. Be it as big as heavy machinery or something as simple as frozen packed food, warehouse industry takes care of it all.
Warehousing sector must be growing by leaps and bounds in current scenario but it has not been like that always. All fastest courier services in India and in the world are formed on one basic philosophy: contingency. Most people who use warehousing facilities or store their goods for a longer period of time do it so that they can supply ready-made inventory without depending on their manufacturing units, which might take up a lot of time to meet demands.
Some of the closer predecessors to storage facilities nowadays have to be the Roman horrea, which were rectangular buildings mostly built out of stone and overhanging roofs to keep the interiors cool and dry during any weather. One of the most popular horreas is the Horrea Galbae which was a warehouse complex in the southern part of ancient Rome. It is a brilliant example about the horreas’ being very important for the evolution of modern storage standards.
Warehouses came into their own when the Industrial revolution took place around the 19th century. European establishments came up with their own good-specific structures, like the cotton warehouses of Manchester or warehouses dedicated to storing only wine or cheese all across the United Kingdom. They were also a precursor to the godowns in India we see today, as the international trading conducted by British nationals lead to the development of overseas warehouses, which became an important part of the Britishers’ success in the East.
In the current era, warehouses still hold the same value rather even more. Though its role has changed over the years, the crux of the industry remains the same. The entire e-commerce business has flourished because of the warehouse industry. Trust us, even the best courier services in India highly depend upon how the warehouses function. As per the current scenario, the industry is only going to flourish in the future.

Understanding the Difference Between B2B and B2C Services

B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to customer) are two common types of business transactions or services in the commercial sector. B2B refers to delivery services or goods sold to other businesses, whereas, B2C means serving directly to the customer. Choosing between the two is essential for owners as it defines most of the operations of the company. Courier delivery services cater to both types of modules.

There are many similarities in between the two kinds of services but some striking differences as well. Some of them are listed below.

Payment Method:

The payment under a B2B transaction amounts depend on the customer and their requirement. On the other hand, in B2C, each customer will pay the same amount as the next. As far as the duration of payment is concerned, a B2C transaction will receive the money at the time of the transaction through cash, cards or e-wallets, whereas B2B deals require complex systems which attract payments eventually after the orders are fulfilled and the invoices are appropriated. The size of the order largely defines the payments modes and amounts.

E-Commerce:

In B2C, the customers log on to websites and browse through a catalogue of services or commodities and pay before checkout through credit or debit cards or e-wallets like PayTM. They are also required to fill in basic information like their e-mail and home address. E-commerce is relatively simpler in the case of B2C trades. In both the cases, it is actually the logistics companies that earn the maximum profits.

The system required to accept and deliver B2B trades is quite complex and should be able to operate through e-mails, documents and electronic orders. B2B clients usually generate invoices and pay in a few weeks’ or months’ time. The company providing services must be able to operate without receiving funds for this period.

Buying Method:

A general difference in both the types is that customers buy products for personal use whereas businesses or companies buy products to utilize them for their operations or further sales. In B2B, a dedicated team or personnel decide the amount and type of goods to be acquired but it’s fairly simple in B2C where the customer relies on his/her needs or wants. Similarly, air cargo tracking is a suitable service option for B2C trades, as B2B customers are most likely to get timely updates of the logistics.Large orders in B2B also require authorization from the higher levels of management

How Agile Delivery Services Are Transforming The Logistic Sector?

In past two decades, development and growth of several south East Asian countries have been unprecedented. Developing economies like China and India are making their mark on various global platforms, taking the reins of leadership directly in their hands. Out of all the sectors, retail and manufacturing business has shown a tremendous growth. Warehouses and logistics facilities are not confined to big cities only, real estate developers and business leaders are also keen on opening avenues in small urban cities

Logistics typically involves delivery of services and products to the client while maintaining its quality and quantity during the entire process. Companies like TCIEXPRESS, one of the fastest courier delivery services in India is also instrumental in transforming logistics sector in the country. ‘Promptness’ is the thumb rule of courier and logistics industry as delayed deliveries can damp the customer experience and blemish the brand name.

Logistics management is a complex and cumbersome sector. It involves material management, physical distribution, channel management, supply chain management, and labor management. From past few years, best courier services in India are also giving due importance to enhanced transportation facilities, technological advancement, improved infrastructure, record keeping, and integration to carry our work seamlessly. As far as TCI express is concerned, its TCI Xps tracking technique gives it a huge advantage over its competitors.

Since Asian countries are finally trading in great volumes, it is affecting the logistic industry directly at the global level as well. The demand for integrated logistics solutions has tremendously increased, making Asian countries the pioneer in the logistics department. As far as India is concerned, a boost in logistics department has also fueled the rate of goods flowing. Overriding major sectors like mining and metal, the logistics industry in India is growing fast. Export processing zones located in major cities like Delhi and Mumbai have ignited the growth in domestic as well as international market.

With the advent of various technological solutions, complex and large issues can be easily streamlined in the right direction. Software like Electronic data interchange (EDI), electronic ordering system (EOS), knowledge management (KM), electronic ordering system (EOS) has helped employees and business leaders to break down complex procedures within the industry.

In today’s scenario, it has become imperative for the logistics company to integrate all the supply chain functions ranging from raw material to finished goods. Business leaders should find out ways to control costs of transportation and plan strategies that can help them serve customers in a better way.

How Logistics Industry Is Evolving In Our Country?

Logistics is and has always been a very bright business. Even when the market is not full of so many commodities and products, still the requirement of logistics is always there. In older times there were limited options for transportation. An overseas transfer of goods and commodities required large ships which would take months to travel through oceans before delivering the items. This reduced the types of items which could be delivered. The local transportation was done through small carriages and wagons. The older warehouses were known as godowns and they were also not well equipped to store things for longer period of time.

The times have changed now, when almost all the modes of transport available on earth are in service of logistics companies. For quick overseas transport aircrafts are used, for large cargos, cargo ships are used which have containers to even preserve the items for a longer period of time those would not survive in normal conditions. Old godowns are substituted by warehouses with better storage facilities and larger spaces which can serve for storage of bulk goods. The regular tracking for deliveries is an old story now, because the newer logistics companies have upgraded their services to air cargo tracking. Anything on the way through a flight between long distances can be tracked instantly and the position will be made clear to the receiver.

Transportation and storage are the two major units for E-commerce logistics these days. The company which gains expertise on both of these comes up as the most productive one. There are several modes in which a logistics company works. A supply chain has to be effective on all grounds therefore the first approach is network management. The logistics companies have to build up a chain which crosses the boundaries to provide services to remotest locations.

The next step would be resources which require transport vehicles and warehouse location. Since door to door delivery services have become a common affair these days, its important that the entire process remains agile. The transport system forms the tracks of the network and the warehouses act as a junction between the tracks or terminals. The third and the most important part of a logistics company is a committed staff which manages every aspect of the company. They have been better termed as the human resources which binds up the total process to turn it into a smooth running mechanism.

Understanding the History of Logistics Industry

Warehousing and logistics companies form the backbone of the commodity industry. The duty of the storage and transport of the goods and commodities lies entirely upon these E-commerce logistics companies. Many companies have their inbuilt logistics and warehousing system, but some other specialize in this and they are very best at this business.

The logistics and warehousing systems have been around for centuries, with the point of origin being Europe.  Back in 19th century, when long distance businesses used to run through seaways, large warehouses were made at the ports for the storage of the goods to be shipped or the imported items. But the problem was the remote transportation of these items. Eventually, with time these problems have been resolved with logistics companies using almost all modes of transportation available on the face of the earth.

The warehousing spaces or godowns are used as the places to store, pack, upload and unload of all the items. These places serve as the space for long term storage of items or may be used as the junctions in between the supply chain. With the advent of ecommerce companies in India like flipkart, Snapdeal, and Amazon, the logistics companies have got a huge opportunity to capitalize over this business. Although many of these companies have their inbuilt logistics branches yet, at many occasions they have to take help from third party supply chains in order to execute their plans.

TCI Express is one of the leading logistics and supply chain companies around the world. With over 13,000 delivery locations across the country, it can be considered as the one of the vastest delivery services in India. The XPS tracking system is one of the best in the world in terms of its accuracy. The promise of last mile delivery makes it the most trustworthy supply chain companies in the world. The staff strength is of 3000 people who are totally committed to their service like no other company which turn TCI Express into the most dependable company.
